    Description

Yukon Exelon 3x50 Night Vision Monocular Super Gen 1+

The YUKON Exelon 3x50 Night Vision Monocular Gen.1+ features enhanced operating characteristics. Combination of a CF-Super Gen.1+ tube and a high-aperture 50mm R-Contact objective lens provides a distortion free, crisp and geometrically precise image on the entire surface of the screen. The CF-Super Gen.1+ light amplification ratio of 1200 essentially exceeds a similar value of the gen. 1 tube.

This feature gives the Exelon 3x50 Night Vision Monocular a great viewing range and high degree of detailed recognition of observed objects. In field conditions (under natural night illumination of 0.05 lux) the unit can detect objects at a distance of up to 500 meters, and recognize them within a 230-270m. range.

Wide field of view perfectly describes the Exelon 3x50 as a night vision monocular ideally suited for observing moving objects. Along with fine ergonomics, the Yukon Exelon 3x50 can be easily transported and is perfect for use in harsh field conditions (hunting, fishing, and hiking) as well as for nature preservation purposes. Coupled with various accessories (IR flashlight, photo and video adapters), the YUKON Exelon 3x50 Gen.1+ Night Vision Monocular is not merely an observation device, but also an excellent means for image recording.

    CF-Super Tube
Due to the spherical shape of the tube’s photo cathode, the device produces enhanced resolution on the entire surface of the screen, measuring from 42 lines/mm in the centre to 32 lines/mm on the edge.

    Optical Arrangement
Combination of the tube and R-Contact 50mm objective lens of the provides crisp and geometrically precise image without distortion even in the peripheral areas of the tube’s screen.

Great little gadet, performs as expected. I didn't have high expectations of my first Gen 1 NV so I wasn't disappointed though if you're used to good optics with DSLR camera lenses and binoculars then you may spend far longer trying to get crisper focus and image than can be obtained. Also, I'm going to have to tape the diopter ring in position because it's continually being nudged which is annoying when my eyesight is exactly the same as it was 5 years ago and will be for another 5 years so I don't need to be fiddling with the diopter ring every time I use the unit.

Amazing what you can see and the criters don't know your looking at them - Review by

Australia. Far South Coast NSW. Had to return scope as focus did not work correctly. The return process was fine although it took time in the post and I spend a lot of time away which meant a couple of months to get it sorted. Thought I had been had with poor quality stuff but in the end it works great. The main purpose I purchased this device is for hunting ferral animals. The scope can pick up night life up to 150mt + easily. Especially with a bit of moon. You can stealth in on critters amazingly as they have no idea you are looking at them. I have had bunnies down to 15mt not knowing you are looking at them. There is a lot of focus involved as it is not self focusing. Also your night vision is impared as the camera is quite bright in one eye. Your hand does get tired after holding up for any length of time. I purchased the conversion kit to fit a rifle which included laser. I found that the scope loaded to rifle was way to heavy and so use the night scope seperatly to identify verman and sneak up on them. Once in rage I have a wholf eye torch which I switch on and do the business. To those who read and do not use the scope for hunting, I live on a rural property and the kill goes to food either for myself or domesticated animals when possible.
